Who wrote this: the team behind AI Musical (sunoaimusical.com), which is one of the tools below. AI Musical is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Suno, Inc. Every price and plan detail here was checked on the tool's own pricing or help page on November 3, 2026. Prices change often and can differ by country, so check the linked page before you buy.
Key takeaways
- Most free songs per day: Suno. Its free plan gives 50 credits a day, but free songs can't be downloaded and come with no commercial rights.
- Downloads are the catch to check first. Udio's help center says downloading audio, video and stems has been disabled (notice dated February 17, 2026). Suno's free plan has no song downloads, and Pro includes 20 a month (more can be bought).
- Free commercial use is rare. Of the tools here, only Stable Audio lists a commercial license on its free plan, and it is aimed at instrumentals and sound, not songs with sung lyrics.
- Cheapest way here to get downloadable songs with vocals without a monthly or yearly plan: AI Musical. A $3.99 Weekly Pass or a $4.99 one-time credit pack. Its free tier is the smallest in this list (one generation, listen-only).
- For background music for videos, Soundraw and AIVA are built for that job; neither pricing page mentions vocals.

The tools one by one
Suno
The best-known AI song generator. Free accounts get 50 credits a day on Suno's free model (v6-mini), with no song downloads and no commercial rights. Pro costs $10 a month ($8 billed yearly) and includes 2,500 credits, 20 song downloads a month, commercial use, the v6 and v6-wild models and two kinds of stem separation. Premier ($30, or $24 billed yearly) adds Suno Studio with MIDI and 60 downloads a month.
- Good for: trying many songs for free; deep editing tools (stem separation, Suno Studio on Premier).
- Watch out: downloads are counted per month on paid plans; free songs can't be downloaded.
Udio
Udio's pricing page lists a free plan with 10 credits a day and up to 3 full-length songs a day, Standard at $10 a month ($8 billed yearly) with 2,400 credits, and Pro at $30 ($24 billed yearly) with 6,000 credits. Its help center article on the Universal Music Group partnership, dated February 17, 2026, says that "downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled." We found no notice that downloads have come back.
- Good for: making and sharing songs inside Udio.
- Watch out: check the download status before you pay if you need files.
Mureka
Mureka makes songs with vocals and lyrics and adds video, a DAW agent and a studio editor. As shown on its subscribe page on November 3, 2026: a free plan with 4 songs a day on its free model, a Weekly Pass at $10 a week after a 1-day free trial, a Monthly Pass at $30, and a Yearly Pass at $12.50 a month, billed $150. Paid plans include commercial use and MP3, WAV, stems and MIDI downloads.
- Good for: an all-in-one setup with stems, MIDI and music videos.
- Watch out: the monthly price is high if you don't want a yearly plan.
ElevenLabs Music
ElevenLabs' music model sits inside its voice and audio platform, so credits are shared with text-to-speech and other tools. The free plan has 10,000 credits a month; Starter is $6 a month ($1 for the first month) with 30,000 credits and music commercial use. Music uses 900 credits per minute, so Starter covers roughly half an hour of music a month if you use it for nothing else.
- Good for: people already paying for ElevenLabs voices.
- Watch out: credits run out fast if you only make music.
Stable Audio
Stability AI's app. Every plan, including the free one (50 credits a month), lists a commercial license. Solo is $12 a month for 660 credits, about 165 full-mix generations of up to 6 minutes. The pricing page talks about full mixes and multi-track generations, not songs with sung lyrics.
- Good for: instrumentals, loops and sound for videos, with a commercial license from day one.
- Watch out: not the tool for a song with your lyrics sung.
AIVA
A composition tool with MIDI export. The free plan allows 3 downloads a month for non-commercial use, and you must credit AIVA; AIVA keeps the copyright. Standard (€11 a month + VAT, billed yearly) allows monetization only on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram. Pro (€33) gives you the copyright and full monetization.
- Good for: soundtrack-style compositions you want to edit in a DAW.
- Watch out: read the license tier carefully before you monetize.
Soundraw
Royalty-free background music for creators. The pricing page lists no free plan; Creator is $16.99 a month, less with yearly billing, with commercial use and unlimited MP3 downloads. WAV and stems start at Artist Pro.
- Good for: background tracks for YouTube, ads and podcasts.
- Watch out: its pricing page doesn't mention vocals.
AI Musical (us)
An online song generator: describe a song in a sentence, or paste your own lyrics and pick a style, and each generation gives you two full songs, with vocals or instrumental. It also writes lyrics, covers or extends audio you upload, and splits songs made here into vocals and instrumental.
- Prices: Weekly Pass $3.99 a week (50 credits, about 100 songs); Hobby $9.90 a month (200 credits, about 400 songs) or $6.90 a month billed yearly; credit packs from $4.99 for 30 generations with no subscription. One credit makes one generation (two songs). Full list: pricing.
- Good for: getting downloadable full songs without a yearly plan; paying once with a credit pack.
Where AI Musical falls short
We'd rather you pick the right tool than be disappointed, so here is what we don't do well:
- The free tier is small. One free generation (two songs) on sign-up, on the Fast model only. Free songs are for listening online, can't be downloaded, and are deleted after 14 days. In some countries new accounts get no free credit at all. Suno gives 50 credits a day.
- Credit packs use the Fast model only. The Standard and Creative models need a subscription (the Weekly Pass counts).
- Web only. There is no iOS or Android app; the site works in a mobile browser.
- No DAW-style studio or MIDI export. Suno Premier, Mureka and AIVA offer these.
- The vocal remover only works on songs made on AI Musical. You can't upload any MP3 and split it.
Is AI Musical the same as Suno?
No. AI Musical is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Suno, Inc. Our domain contains the word "suno", but an AI Musical account, its credits and subscriptions are separate from Suno's, and you can't use one on the other. Suno's official website is suno.com.
How to choose
- You want the most free songs and don't need files: Suno's free plan.
- You need downloadable songs with vocals for a week or a single project: AI Musical's Weekly Pass or a credit pack, or Mureka's Weekly Pass.
- You'll make music every month and want the most editing tools: Suno Pro or Premier, or Mureka's yearly plan.
- You need instrumental background music with a commercial license: Stable Audio, Soundraw or AIVA (check AIVA's license tier).
- You already use ElevenLabs for voice: try its music model with the credits you have.
